Tips when taking virtual fields trips:
- Do not rush, take your time and see what your child is looking at and what they enjoy
- Allow your child to lead the field trip. If you child wants to watch only the polar bears today, that's great! We can come back to visit other animals tomorrow.
- Ask questions about what you see, but also don't forget to model gestures and words to help build your child's vocabulary and expand upon what they say.
- Save pictures on your computer of things your child likes so that they can show other people what they saw.
- Work with your child to draw what they see as well! The great part is, you can pause the video if you need.
